The Phoenix and the Dragon

The Phoenix and the Dragon, Glenwood Street, Jackson, WY, USA

The Phoenix and the Dragon is an Asian-inspired restaurant in Jackson Hole operated by culinary couple Eric and Zarina Sakai. What originated as a pop-up kiosk inside Jackson Whole Grocer evolved into a brick and mortar location in downtown Jackson. The Phoenix and the Dragon serves food prepared from scratch and made to order, with flavors influenced by Eric and Zarina’s childhoods in Hawaii and the Philippines, respectively. Owner Zarina says, “We believe in providing healthy food that is satisfying, flavorful, and affordable.” Almost everything on their menu is dairy free, with plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options, as well. We recommend starting with a plate of the Xi’an Street Fries and a delicious Lilikoi Ginner Shandy, followed by the Pancit Bihon – a filling vermicelli noodle stir-fry.

We loved our dinner at The Kitchen...everything delicious. My favorite was the the crab cake with of best I’ve ever had! The halibut and red snapper entrees also excellent. Only somewhat disappointed with vegan cheesecake....not bad but not remotely close to cheesecake.

Cocktails are good, food is trying to be something it's not. I didn't see a lot of culinary direction on the menu and the flavors were not successfully executed in my opinion. For the price, there is better food in town.

Book your table ahead of time, because this place is in high demand and for good reason!!! A local resident of Jackson recommended this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent and the food was incredible and unique. Next time I stay in Jackson, I plan to come back!

Best meal we had in Jackson Hole and we ate great our whole trip! We wish we would have tried to come back our last night. The potato chip pie was delish, as well as everything else we ate and drank. Plus the staff was so nice!

We were in Jackson on an adventure travel tour last week. We had dinner at The Kitchen one night. What a very pleasant dinner. I had some fantastic Korean beef short rib barbecue and my partner had Luxury Shrimp. The shrimp was beyond fantastic. Great portion size and deliciously prepared. The sauce had a sweet heat that really satisfied . If you’re in Jackson, The Kitchen is a must for dinner.
