We had the most amazing guide. Mac was not only super funny but did an awesome job helping us first timers on the river. She knew alot about the history and alot about the river. The food was amazing and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend her as a guide

The check in process was easy, the fitting for the life jacket/helmet went well. To preface my experience below, I have taken/participated in several white water rafting experiences through Colorado and Utah. Having said that - this was the first time that I was asked to sit in the middle. I was asked by Lukas to sit in the middle between 2 men. Mind you, these 2 men had wives/girlfriends with them. Why wasn't one of the girlfriends/wives asked to sit next to them is a mystery. When sitting in the middle, there is literally nowhere to hold on. Sitting in the middle, I was also subjected to being hit by the paddles throughout the entire journey. Beat up and battered by paddle should be the mantra for sitting in the middle. To make matters worse, I could not see in front of me. Why you ask? Because Cassie (a delightful person) was sitting at the front of the boat. I could not see past her so I had no idea what was coming up. In essence, it was like being waterboarded while riding a roller coaster without a lap bar - trying to hold on to air. Had I been given the opportunity at the lunch break, I would have gone back to Wind River Canyon Whitewater as the trip was a miserable experience. Finally, having paid over $130 to white water raft and being forced to be a spectator was not something anticipated. This is something that I was not aware of, would not have participated in and caused an awkward, miserable experience. At the end of the day it was an (disappointing/anti-climatic) expensive lesson learned. So, if you don't mind sitting in the middle then this is for you. If you like to participate - make SURE you get what you paid for.
