Joe was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable with the surroundings and the geological information of the area. He was very easy to talk to on our 4 hour tour. He was very flexible when we wanted to stop and look at something or spend extra time at a location. I would highly recommend Joe and Backcountry Safaris if you are in Capitol Reef!

My daughter & I took the sunset tour; her biggest hope was to see bison. She was not disappointed! We were up close (stayed in the car) and were able to get some pretty cool pictures. Seth is an amazing tour guide, being a local, and knowing the history and some quirky trivia. He took us to lesser known areas, as well as a couple of "touristy spots". We did see a moose, as well as other wildlife. We were able to see parts of the Tetons we hadn't explored yet. The only regret is we waited until our last day - Seth had so many insights & suggestions that we weren't able to take advantage of.

My sister and I just did the Upper Loop all day tour with Emily as our guide. She was terrific in that she really drove everywhere she thought the animals might be. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see many animals other than one small herd of Bison. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. They have us a great lunch too!

Mighty T was great. So energetic and knowledgeable. She took us on a fantastic jeep ride - thanks to Backcountry Safaris. We saw so much. Moose, bison, antelope, and otters! Would highly recommend, they added a huge amount to our vacation. Thank you Backcountry safaris!

The Yellowstone lower loop tour was all we could have expected. Rex, our guide, was outstanding. Very enthusiastic, flexible and knowledgeable. He knew where to take us to get the best views of the wildlife, knew a significant amount of the history there. The group was small so it was more geared to what we wanted to do/see. An unforgettable experience!
