The Hole Hiking Experience Inc.

Being an area with plentiful outdoors there are a good choice of guides to pick from and after alot of research we picked The Hole Hiking Experience. From the beginning of the booking to the end of the tour the communication was fantastic with confirmations on times and locations to what equipment we needed and what they supplied. The snow shoes were in great condition and sized correctly and fanny packs, water and snacks were all offered. Belinda was our guide and was a long time local so knew alot of information and was very passionate about the outdoors, wildlife and never failed to answer our questions. This is a guided educational tour and so was not just about snowshoeing the entire time. We stopped and investigated animal tracks and signs, viewed and discussed the local flora, fauna, geology and history before reaching our half way point and an amazing view of the Teton's. Belinda allowed plenty of time to take photo's along the route with no need to rush. Overall this was an amazing excursion which we will remember for a long time.

We did a private group of 3 for a sunrise wildlife hike. Tessa gave us an awesome experience! She was professional, friendly, knowledgeable about the area and wildlife, and overall was a pleasure to spend the day with. We got to see amazing sights in an efficient way that steered clear of crowded areas. She adapted the tour pace and activities well to our group's comfort level. Vehicle, binoculars, and snacks were all great. Wonderful experience, we'd love to do more next time we are in Jackson Hole.

Six of us had the best time with our guide Belinda. She was very patient with some of us that were new to hiking wearing snowshoes. Yes we would do it again and hope we get Belinda. Thanks for a great day!!

3 of us had a great experience snow shoeing with Chelsea as our guide! The scenery was beautiful. Chelsea’s knowledge of the trees, the Tetons and just about everything we asked about was amazing! The hike was just over 3 miles total for the half day. We stopped along the way to learn and cool down. Be sure to wear layers so you can peel off as needed with physical exertion. Our hike was the Explorer and it was easily managed even with one gentleman in his 50’s with a finicky knee and a 22 yr old with a hip that can be problematic. The guide paces according to who is on the hike and what their preferences are. The temp was around 4 -18 degrees with no wind and sunny skies. 2 light layers and a medium weight jacket would’ve been enough. The snow was packed down so it was easier to hike it than it would’ve been had there been a bunch of fresh snow. Chelsea had water bottles and a wonderful chocolate chip cookie for each of us! Nice option to explore the terrain and get some exercise also!

Four friends went to enjoy some snowshoeing with Tessa and had a blast!! She was amazing! She taught us about the snowshoes and how to work them easily. We took a great hike in a beautiful area and Tessa knew a ton! She taught us about the different trees and what animals eat them, live in them, etc. It was a great experience.
