Thal Glass Studio
-
Laurie is much more than a gifted artist. She is a teacher who’s gracious, playful and uplifting spirit enables both magic and creativity. Her collection of hand blown glass works, featured throughout her art studio, offer an array of gifts that are both elegant and meaningful. She taught our family how to blow glass ornaments; capturing our young daughter’s breath in radiant colored bulbs that glimmered and sparkled. Our daughter’s grandparents and our friends delighted in this unique, hand made, holiday gift. When our dearest dog passed away last year, she lovingly sprinkled her ashes into several blue-tinted glass orb paper weights. The swirls looks like mini cosmic universes—an apt representation of our beloved four-legged family member. Thank you Laurie and Dan! For years of artful inspiration and for the beautiful ways you’ve contributed beauty and one-of-a-kind art to our family. Cheers!

What a fun, unique activity! We got to blow our own glass ornaments and learn the process of glass blowing. Laurie and Dan's glass pieces are incredibly beautiful works of art! It would be worth a trip to the studio just to see their work. And we love the hand blown glasses we got. They are durable, and remind us of our trip there every time we use them.

Over several years we've been building our collection of original, beautiful, top quality glass work from Laurie and Dan. They are always extremely professional and friendly, whether we're buying something or just looking, and it is a joy to visit their studio. I look forward to continuing our relationship!

Great place and amazing activity. I know I know...glass blowing might seem a bit intimidating. In Laurie's capable hands it is fun, educational, and gratifying! Go. The studio has beautiful finished pieces. Leaving with your own finished ornament is fantastic.

What fun! A group of women went to Laurie's studio to make holiday ornaments. Laurie walked each of us through the process of making them from start to finish. It was a fun way to spend the morning and learn about the intricacies of making such beautiful art. Laurie and her partner collaborate on beautiful pieces that have been sandblasted and her studio has many of these pieces (bowls, glassware etc) for sale. Great gifts! It was a fun experience finished with lunch at a restaurant close by. Highly recommend.
