Teton Backcountry Rentals

Excellent experience! Had vague knowledge I could rent bear spray at the airport on arrival. Desk was clearly marked and very visible. I was able to watch for my luggage while attending the hands on bear spray lesson prior to being given a rental. The payment on site was via easy to complete tablet transaction. I was given a choice of harness, and was on my way in minutes! Drop off was clearly marked and possible even though the desk was closed on my way home. I received a confirmation email they had received it before I even got home! Absolutely would rent again next time I'm in the area!

First time at Yellowstone & Grand Teton and SO glad we rented bear spray in Gardiner! We saw a black bear charge to the people on Jenny Lake Trail on the afternoon of June/20. The spray worked perfectly -> shot an orange mist about 8 meters out. (Pro tip: watch out for other people’s faces~)

I rented a pair of touring skis and boots, and a bear spray. I also bought a gas canister for my camping stove. I interacted with a few different people and everyone was extremely kind and helpful, especially when it came to the skis as I had never ski toured before. The staff member took her time to show me how everything worked. I would highly recommend them! Also, I went during low season and they seemed the only ones that were still renting out skis, so I’m very thankful for that.

100% recommend you rent bear spray over buying it! We saved $$ renting 2 cans over buying them and was easily able to return them up in Yellowstone National Park. Fast service and knowledgeable staff with a quick in and out. We got a notification of our return just a couple hours after putting them in the drop box.
