Teton Backcountry Rentals

Teton Backcountry Rentals is an incredible community resource! My organization just used one of their inReach devices for a Wilderness Ambassador program, to ensure our backcountry team could check in and out, and seek help in case of emergency. TBR was so easy to work with and they helped train us on the use of the inReach, and set it up! Absolute amazing customer service and really great product quality :)

Super simple bear spray pick up and drop off experience. Very friendly folks who accommodated my after hours pick up. Just call them (or message their IG) and they will make sure you get your order, even if your flight gets in late like mine did. Will definitely rent from again!

Highly recommend renting bear spray from this company, especially if you’re flying into the area. Details below: I rented 2 cans of bear spray for 7 days and used the vending machine at the Bozeman Chamber of Commerce. The vending machine was easy to use — there’s an instructional video on their website you can watch beforehand. There isn't a way to check the vending machine's inventory online, but you can call them ahead of time to check if you'd like. I just showed up without checking and it wasn't a problem. Returning the bear spray was also easy -- I dropped it off at the same location, where there's a drop-off box (note: it's on the opposite side of the building from the vending machine). There's a QR code on top of the box that brings you to a Google form where you log the details of your return (ex. date/time of return, the code for each can, etc). After filling out the Google form, you place the cans in the box, and that’s it. Overall, it was an effortless experience. I will use them again the next time I’m in the area.

We rented bear spray from the kiosk at the airport, it was so easy to book and pick up! He gave us a quick tutorial and we felt good about having it for our trip to Tetons and Yellowstone. Would 100% recommend. We dropped it off before our flight out!

We drove past the store and noticed the bear spray sign in the window and quickly turned in. It was so relieving to find a place that rents bear spray AND shows you how to use it on an empty can! We felt so comfortable hiking the entire week we were in the parks. There was a lot of bear activity on the trails and this made us feel safer and more prepared. The guys at the store were also really kind and helpful, and the fact that you can drop the can off at any of their locations, and in the drop off bin after hours, made it very convenient!
