Teton Backcountry Rentals

Booking and picking up gears was super easy and efficient. Everything was kept ready to go when we arrived. All the products we picked were in great condition and did not have weird smells or stains. The prices were very competitive as well. Photos from our campsite at Colter Bay Campground.

We rented bear spray from the kiosk at the airport, it was so easy to book and pick up! He gave us a quick tutorial and we felt good about having it for our trip to Tetons and Yellowstone. Would 100% recommend. We dropped it off before our flight out!

We drove past the store and noticed the bear spray sign in the window and quickly turned in. It was so relieving to find a place that rents bear spray AND shows you how to use it on an empty can! We felt so comfortable hiking the entire week we were in the parks. There was a lot of bear activity on the trails and this made us feel safer and more prepared. The guys at the store were also really kind and helpful, and the fact that you can drop the can off at any of their locations, and in the drop off bin after hours, made it very convenient!

Teton Backcountry Rentals and Bear Aware made renting and obtaining bear spray so easy! We were running later into Wyoming than we expected, so I called and they offered to put the spray in their after-hours pickup box. Seamless. Then when our itinerary changed it was easy to find a location for drop-off as well. We didn't end up using the spray, but we did see a Grizzly Bear in Yellowstone! I was glad we had the peace of mind of having the spray with us.

We picked up 2 cans of bear spray at the Teton Backcountry Rentals location right as we were heading north out of Jackson. Both my brother and I felt much more comfortable heading out on hikes after practicing how to use the bear spray on an empty canister in the store, which was very comforting! I appreciate the level of detail and care the staff directed to us. We saw a handful of black bears throughout our adventures but did not need to use our bear spray, but it was reassuring to have easily accessible. Super quick and easy drop off at the desk in the Jackson Hole Airport! Will definitely be returning to rent bear spray here for future adventures.
