Great food and coffee, very nice socially-distanced outdoor space. Long wait to get in but we’ll worth it!

Persephone's is the type of bakery that makes you want to try everything on their menu, because every item looks, smells, and tastes amazing. This is not your average bakery, this place knows what it's doing from the crust to icing. The first thing you'll notice about the food is that their crusts are expertly made. Whether it's the crisp quiche shell (no soggy bottoms), or the crunchy French bread, they know how to do amazing things with a little flour and butter. The second thing I love about this place is that their baked goods aren't overly sweet. They aren't trying to hide anything. And last, their coffee is fantastic. The ambiance is quaint and charming, exhibiting a preference for the communal table movement. While there are a few individual tables, you should sit where you can meet others, because it's a fun and eclectic crowd that visits this spot.

This place has decent ratings for a reason - it’s truly great for breakfast. Yes, there are lines sometimes, but it’s worth waiting. Amazing friendly staff and easy ordering. Nice interior and a plenty of seating outside. But more importantly - perfect food. Baked chickpea dish was very delicious and so was our dessert. Good coffee and tea. Orders can take up to 25-30 mins depending on the occupancy and what you got, so be patient - you will love your food! Everyone wore masks here and religiously cleaned tables. Five stars.

This is one of the most reviewed places in Jackson on Yelp and it's for a good reason. We saw they had our favorite pastry, Kouign Amann, and we had to come here to get it. In addition to that, we got an Almond Croissant and the Cinnamon Brioche. Kouign Amann was hands down my favorite. You just can't beat it. It's kind of like a croissant but sweeter. I also loved the almond croissant. The cinnamon brioche was ok, but it was a little dry. They don't post their pastry menu online which isn't great for covid. Luckily it's really quick to go inside and grab a couple to go. This is definitely a great place to stop in Jackson!

With what we ordered, this place worked wonders. The latte at this place is absolutely amazing and tastes almost like butter. My partner described it as the perfect latte. The hot chocolate from this place is just fantastic and comes with a giant marshmallow made in house. Both are made in house, actually. Lastly, try to the apple croissant and the quiche. Nicely done!
