One Horse Motel

We absolutely loved our five-night stay at this cozy and conveniently located motel that is just blocks from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Our room was clean and very well equipped, with a small refrigerator, microwave, built-in small desk with chair and a full bath with good water pressure and hot water. The motel has good-quality towels and sheets, and even has an on-site washer and dryer, which came in handy during our stay. The owners are truly delightful and made our time here fabulous. We really didn’t have to pester them for anything, because the rooms were perfect as is. It’s an older motel (but we like that), and the rooms are somewhat small, but the setup helps you make the most of the space. We like that you can park your car right outside of your room (or at least nearby; the lot can be tight at full capacity, but we were able to park near our room the whole time.) It’s hard to beat the location (easy walk to main drag of town) , and we thought the price was very fair, a good deal for an excellent stay. Many thanks to the owners who clearly care about their guests’ experience. We loved it here!!

We only stayed here one night and overall it was fine for what we were looking for. The front desk lady was very nice and helpful. We only had two pillows on our bed and when we called the front desk and asked for additional pillows, she brought them within 5 minutes, but they smelled like cigarette smoke, but we just dealt with it. The rooms were small, but the bed was comfortable. We did not have hairdryer in the room, but in fairness, I didn't call front desk to ask because it was early in the morning when I realized there was not one provided in room.

What a jewel among all the other hotel chains. It was a lovely, spacious enough room, clean. Check in was so nice and helpful. Parking in front of the rooms included. Perfect location to get to Yellowstone. I just love the motel style and I'd definitely stay there again. Restaurants nearby as well as a lovely breakfast spot. We booked it because it was affordable but it did exceed my expectations! Thank you!

Reservation cancelled by the owner due to a motel damage. Understandable, but he did not wan't to return payed room deposit after that, which is a fraudal activity, in my opinion. Thankfully chargback did its job. Not recommend making any money transfers to this company.

I made a reservation in January 2023 for a stay in June 2023 and was charged 15$. A few days ago, I received a mail from this hotel : "The staff at the One Horse Motel is sorry that you had to cancel your reservation with us. This is our confirmation for your cancellation." I DID NEVER CANCEL. They did not reply to my mail, I did not get my money back and especially I now have to find a new hotel (higher prices etc.)! EDIT: I am sorry to hear that. It would have been helpful to say that in your mail.
