National Bighorn Sheep Center

While driving back from the Wind River Reservation to Jackson, my wife and I decided to make a stop here. I'm not really sure what we were expecting, but it was definitely worth a stop. Between learning more about the life of bighorn sheep, their history and role in the area, and getting to touch their fur and skulls, we both learned a lot. The displays are very well put together and maintained, and the information is very clear but still packed with information. There is a small room with a theatre with informational videos playing as well. We both enjoyed the stop, and learned a lot.

So glad we stopped. Welcoming staff. Great abundance of displays. They had a fun Scavenger hunt for the kids and prizes for them.

Wonderful exhibit. Educational and entertaining. A great stop.

Very small, but interesting. Live exhibits would have made it more interesting.

Fantastic museum! So much information and a beautiful gift shop filled with local craftspeople art. They also offer eco tours. We toured with Ben and it was a highlight of our week. Ben is extremely knowledgeable in history, petroglyphs, and the wild animals. His tours are customized to what you want to see and learn.
