Miller Park Lodge

The lodge is ok and fairly close to downtown. However, the lack of staff after business hours, and the weak noise isolation between rooms may make your experience unpleasant. I had a neighbor upstairs causing a lot of noise during the night, and there was not a single person on premises to help deal with it.

Great location and nice rooms although the floors felt slippery. Maybe they were waxed ? No rugs on the floor as pictured on website, at least not in our room (25) Super noisy air conditioner though, kept us awake so we left a day early.

If you have to stay here, then stay but I recommend looking for other options as they are equally expensive. We had quite a few issues while here. Some got fixed and some didn’t. I’d rather pay a bit more and stay at a nicer place in Jackson. The only positive is that there was a kid’s park across the street and very good food nearby.

The room was quite nice. The location of the place was amazing. However, I would dock it a star and half for service. Alas, a can't do halves here. To check into the hotel all you need is a code they email days ahead of time. No need to talk to front desk staff to check in. Fine. UNLESS you walk into your room and find that the only light that works is the one in the bathroom. The number for the hotel went unanswered because there was no one working the front desk. There was no emergency number provided. That was kind of annoying. I understand being understaffed and maybe not wanting to get "emergency" calls from guests, but in this day and age I was annoyed that I could not get a hold of anyone. Thankfully, someone was at the desk the next morning and they were able to take care of the lights. The problem - breaker switch was off.

The room was clean, but furniture and paint are showing quite a bit of wear. Our AC unit was too loud to allow us to sleep, so the room was too warm to be comfortable. VERY noisy upstairs neighbors, which also made me worry the next room over could hear us talking so it didn't feel very private. Check-in was easy and we didn't have any issues to contact staff about. Easy walking distance into downtown. Felt very overpriced for what we got, but it was a holiday weekend. Would have chosen somewhere different if anyone else had vacancies, but it served its purpose for one night.
