Lakeside Lodge Resort & Marina

My friend booked a cabin they'd been staying at for over 10 years. They got to the location and they were informed that the cabin they rented was not available and being familiar with the resort my friend declined the change even though he'd gotten all the confirmations about their reservations. They went home and they still charged his credit card $1600 because he canceled because he couldn't get the cabin he'd reserved. The cabin he reserved was rented out every night so why charge him for cancelling.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the cabin we had rented and the beautiful surroundings at the lake. The cabin was well furnished, with comfortable beds, and had a porch with chairs facing the lake. Kayaks and boards came free to use, which was a nice bonus. The restaurant was also nice; we dined there and enjoyed the most beautiful sunset over the marina.

Had dinner at The Experience a smokehouse & Italian restaurant. Did not stay at the lodge just went to restaurant. Love this place. Food is amazing. You don't need reservations just go on down & they will take good care of you. Under new owners. Family owned & the owners are awesome. Ate here opening night & the next night again, Been to many openings and this was the smoothest one ever! Had the Sweet & Sour Bison meatballs to start, they were so good I had dreams about them. Then came the best Chicken Parm ever, and I try it everywhere it's my go to meal for Italion. Hubby has his go to meal of Fettuccine Alfredo which he loved. Then a simple but delicious homemade cookie with ice cream & homemade ganache. Service was great too. 2nd night I wanted the Chicken Parm again but controlled myself because I wanted to try other items. So I got Smoked Try Tip with oven baked Mac & cheese & hubby got Lasagna & homemade Ficotta bread. Then Cannoli Cheesecake. Another amazing meal. Only open THU, FRI & SAT for dinner in winter but TUES-SAT for lunch & dinner start for summer. Check it out you will be glad you did!

Beautiful location, cabin was nice, bed was uncomfortable, asked about grill was told they had propane, nope. Check in is a joke. No I e to call if you have issues. Yes they give you a number but no one answered. Had microwave but no utensils. No spoons, no forks, no knifes, nothing bit coffee stirers.

Amazing food!! Upscale flavors. Just delicious. Great people really trying to offer our area something more! Can't wait to go to dinner in the summer to see the beautiful view over the lake.
