JHMR – Cafe 6311

Lousy attitude by young woman at cash register. She spoke English but with an accent. Seemed annoyed that I was ordering food and especially when I asked how I will know my sandwich is ready. She mumbled “they call your name”. Well, they didn’t call my name despite others being called at my table, who ordered after I did. I went to the counter and asked where was my sandwich and it had been sitting there below the counter for a while. “Oh, sorry”. The bacon & egg on bagel was crappy to top it off MacDonalds does a much better job. They should be ashamed!

Friendly guy sold me a chicken calzone the size of my hand for 15$ .. it was chicken, tomato ranch bacon. There are more words typed than chicken a single cube, 2 pieces of diced tomato.. bacon? Ranch? Who made this?? Zero par to a recipe... food scam.

As a grab and go, it’s pretty mediocre. Most things are really expensive for what they are. They do not have much of a selection that is actually available, and at least some of the tables are beyond their useful life. Also, it is understaffed for as busy as it can be, so it can take a little time just to get through the line. We decided to spend just a little more and opted for the Handle Bar for our other ski breaks.

they said they can not give you a cup of water even if you just bought a 16$ sandwich

This cafe is an expensive little snack spot at basecamp with many options when it comes to pastries, sandwiches, coffees, beers, and bottled drinks. I tried out a delicious quiche which I highly recommend, a hot chocolate, beer, & a powerade. The sandwiches also looked pretty great but I didn’t try one. All in all, would recommend the quiche and sandwiches but be prepared to pay a lot for them.
