I went in early May. It was extremely windy and cold. It was a beautiful and my wife and I did not even care about the temperature. There were just many massive mountains, covered in snow. It looked like a post card. The lake with the dam was mostly frozen and was super cool to see. The whole place was stunning and only wish I had more time to spend.

Very pretty place. All of the park rangers we interacted with were very sweet. We hiked a good 5 miles on the Jenny Lake Trail. I would recommend this one if you want to get a good view of the lake and some of the peaks. Also included a beautiful waterfall. Some areas were a tad narrow but overall a very comfortable hike. We saw a moose and a beaver looking thing.

This park offers some of the best views of any mountain range in the U.S. You can make it a quick drive-through or spend days hiking the many trails. It's located 30 minutes south of Yellowstone and offers the same great chance to see some unique wildlife.
