Margaritas and Tacos like no other in Jackson. Right in town center this is a non pretentious joint with just really good fare and great service. All the food feel fresh and made from scratch and do not forget the margaritas, skillfully prepared and pretty to look at.

It's 4pm on a Wednesday. When my mixed race family arrived, they said it was happy hour and they would not seat us even though the dining room was 90% empty and outdoor seating was 50% full. After being turned away. We went to another mexican resturant and they welcomed us with open arms.

Ordered the chilaquiles to go & they were delicious. Sweet spicy, lots of flavor & fresh ingredients. We ordered the food again to go, and were given the wrong order, charged more (about $5 for the wrong items) & had to wait an hour for the right food. It was a bummer the second time around.

We had several meals here - breakfast and lunch and really enjoyed them all. Meals were well prepared and had a nice Southwestern flair. Green chili sauce on the Enchiladas Verdes was very good. Included in the menu are some nice local flavors like bison sausage. We'll worth a stop - parking is pretty tight during busy times.

Food was great, and so was our server. I would have given 5 stars, but for the manager. When we arrived we put our name on the wait list for a party of 3, first available,, and were told it would be 40 minutes. I understand that wait time can be hard to estimate. HOWEVER, we waited over an hour while we watched several tables sit empty and unused. When I asked how much longer, at about 1:15, they don't know, and said we were still 3rd on the list. In the mean time, at least two 4 tops had set empty this whole time. They also sat 2 people at a 4 top, while three 2-top tables sat empty and uncleaned. The only time I saw the manager do anything was when I complained about the wait and the unused tables. She just stared at me, without offering any explanation other than "we have reservations". I said, "That doesn't explain empty tables.", and got no answer, just a blank stare. We finally got seated, and had a wonderful meal, but never even an attempt by the manager at an apology, or even just to check on us.
