Gyde Architects profiled and discriminated against me and my African American classmates when we visited this firm. We were denied access to their business due to the color of our skins. Despite us all being employed within the field and on a work trip to Jackson Hole; when we arrived to visit the firm we were not even allowed in as other associates within the room made fun of the situation. I would not recommend anyone going to his business for any inquiries due to the nature of their customer service. I was appalled by this experience and this firms behavior does not reflect on the entirety of the field. Be very wary of this firm, due to their prejudice that they have towards certain humans. They have an open doors policy, however in their eyes, it’s limited to a certain few people.

Great team at GYDE, led by two impressive women who are also deeply involved and respected in the Jackson community. We are currently into our second project with the team, the first being a large-scale new construction, and the second an interior re-design with a lot of built-in challenges. Their motto is “design in everything” so they’re all about finding solutions. I love their inclusive approach to problem-solving, always feel like we are working as a team. Their strongest work negotiates clean modern lines with warmth and livability. John Stennis and Katherine Koriakian are also immensely talented and really wonderful to work with.
