GTLC – Jackson Lake Lodge

Rooms are very basic but comfortable. The location is of course fantastic. Avoid the Mural Room their overpriced restaurant with food definitely not worth the cost and rude staff by all means. There is a cute little grill called the Pioneer Grill is much better.

Amazing location, staff, and view, but the rooms aren’t great. They smell very strange and the furnishings and amenities are very old. There is no A/C, which is doable in Yellowstone but it gets hot here. The beds were quite comfortable. There is very little water pressure in the shower. Overall, I would not recommend staying here,

Mural room dining had amazing views but do not recommend. The hostess was the rudest person alive. Food tasted good but was very cold after waiting an hour to arive with an empty dining room. Possibly short kitchen staff. Server and water guy were super friendly though.

The ceiling fan was wobbly and could not get it to go on a higher setting. The floor fan provided was also weak and very wobbly. I wish there was more about how you can get to other places around there without having to rent a car. The shuttle times are very restrictive. Housekeeping was fantastic! The star gazing program was a plus to my stay. Views are spectacular. Location was the best. So, overall there are some easy improvements they can make, but would stay again.

Stayed at the Jackson Lake Lodge in a mountain view cottage, which had a large window and small furnished patio with an unobstructed view of the Tetons. Note that cottages are not standalone as they are in some parks; instead, they are rooms with shared walls. Though expensive, prices are on par with what one might expect for accommodation within the National Park boundaries. Clean, comfortable rooms with just the basic amenities. Ample free self-parking just outside each door. Amicable front desk staff. Beautiful main lodge with scenic views of Jackson Lake and the mountains in the distance.
