Butter Cafe

The food is super delicious (5 stars) and we would love to go back. However we had a bad experience the first time. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait which was fine, they took our names (it was just the two of us) and we were willing to wait, but then almost an hour later no one had called our name, so we went inside to ask. They told us that they were no longer seating people, what?!!? So we had waited for nothing and no one bothered to come out and inform us of this news. So we asked them why they took our names in the first place, and make us wait so long only to turn us away. They argued that the kitchen really needed a break.... At this point we were quite upset and rightly so. Especially since we had driven over the pass to eat here. Thankfully another server, (perhaps the supervisor/manager?) overheard the conversation and she was nice enough to figure it out and seat us. I'm all for supporting local businesses, and I realize there's a shortage of staff (I am 1 of 2 people left in my entire department at my own workplace, so I know all about it), but don't act all sketchy and make excuses to turn people away AFTER you've taken their names and made them wait so long. That isn't good business ethics. Hopefully this was just a one off thing. Because we have loved their other eatery "Streetfood" since they first opened, and we hope to go to Butter a few more times before we move away.

Ladies are really nice. We had a good experience. The food was great. My son loved his Mac and Cheese. The grilled cheese and Philly were really good as well. The soup is made in house. Coke comes in a cool glass bottle. You can keep the bottle to bring home. I brought mine home. We will be back to try out breakfast next time.

A cozy, modern breakfast diner with decent coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, delicious jam, and plenty of options for a savory or sweet meal. My party of two came in Monday morning and we were sat right away. The serving staff seems short-handed but they were prompt in bringing us drinks and getting our order. The kitchen was also very speedy. I'm sure no more than five minutes passed between our order and the food arriving. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the croissants were buttery and fresh. My partner got the Al Pastor hash and we both agreed the pickled prickly pear was slightly overpowering and the ham was a little too sparse.

Coming from NYC and visiting the national parks, Butter’s breakfast is well with the 2100+ mile journey in itself! The restaurant was busy and the staffs work hard to make sure everyone is taken care of. Highly recommend the cowboy bowl, home made blueberry muffin and their drip coffee (it’s $5 a cup for coffee like Butters back in Upper West Side!). Every bite of their breakfast tasted like home away from home! Will revisit when I get to come back to Victor again next time.

Stopped at this awesomely named Cafe while out in Idaho on a ski trip. We had a mega breakfast. Elvis French toast, cowboy bowls, huge egg and ham grilled sandwiches, and do not forget the biscuits and gravy. It tasted great and loaded us up to ski all day long. Everything is better with Butter!
