The best hotel location in downtown Salt Lake City if you're planning on going to visit the temple or if you plan on walking to the capitol. Literally Temple square steps away from your hotel. They do offer a morning breakfast at a small fee. We had the breakfast burritos which were phenomenal. The staff is extremely welcoming (breakfast staff was by far Amazing)! Free coffee throughout the whole day. Brooms could use a little bit of updating beds were slightly uncomfortable but again it was all about the location and the price was excellent.

Had a very good stay here for almost an entire week. Here is why: - The staff is friendly and helpful (thank you Jess and Jack!) - The location is excellent. Right in the heart of downtown, walkable to all the big sights. - The view of the city and mountains from the room is beautiful. There is a tiny balcony but it's permanently locked. - Rooms are spacious. The bed is comfy. The shower pressure is good. - Even the room cleaning staff was so friendly any time I would pass by the corridors. - Good price for all that you get. The biggest thing they could improve upon is the pillows are not the comfiest.

I would like to first start with the positive, the location. It is right in the middle of Salt Lake with amazing paths to walk around. Unfortunately, that’s the only nice thing I have to say about the hotel. We were charged extra for our room due to a safety deposit, which we paid online and the website did not specify that anywhere. Now we have a charge from the morning staff with no information on why our card was charged, and when I called the hotel for an answer, they didn’t even know why our card was charged. The bathroom shower had no hot water, the wallpaper next to it was peeling off, and I am pretty sure there was blood on it as well. The shampoo container was empty, and the shower curtain was not able to keep the water within the shower tub. The bed was poorly supported, along with the pillows were quite old as well. To top it off, the parking garage was awful. I didn’t mind paying for parking, as it is ten dollars a day, but the garage itself is breaking down. There were several support beams all over the garage, at times multiple in the same area, and it is a low garage. If you have a lifted vehicle of any kind, do not bother driving into it. If you are staying one night in Salt Lake this is the hotel for you, but if not, avoid this hotel at all cost.

The hotel is fine, but old. Prepare for lots of little annoyances. The air conditioner in my room was extremely loud and made it a bit hard to sleep at times. There was no hot water at 9:30am on a Tuesday so I took a lukewarm shower. The shower faucet handle was loose but I tightened it with my own screwdriver. The clock on the bedside table was off by an hour and I couldn't figure out how to adjust it. They sell microwavable meals and snacks downstairs but they don't have plates. (At least there are sporks in the breakfast area.) My key cards stopped working twice in my 4-night stay and they were far too trusting when they fixed my cards. The outlets are getting worn out and don't hold plugs very well. On the positive side, my room had a fridge, freezer, microwave, and ironing board. It also had a very nice office chair. The location and price were amazing.

My wife and I stayed here for an overnight trip and had a very pleasant experience. We stayed in the "King Bed Room with a city view" and the room was definitely worth the price. The room was overall very clean and had a nice view of the city. The bathroom however could use some work it seemed a bit dated and worn. The staff was pleasant and even granted a later check out time. Parking is covered and an additional $10. There appeared to be a cafe with breakfast for a cost I however did not eat so I couldn't comment on the quality of food. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to someone on a budget.
