Centrally located and great access to lots of the wonderful places and things to do downtown. Offer a lot of services and very helpful. Can provide items and get items you need. Room had: a steamer, hair dryer, fridge, soaps and the usual shower products. ALL the staff were wonderful. Valet people super polite and professional. Remember to tip them! We had pets with us and they were very accommodating. We did not go down to Bambara but next time would definitely like to. Menu looked great. Beautiful space and open kitchen. We had some small issues but nothing to put an otherwise good experience down. As a pair in our 30s and from our upbringing I will say it can sometimes feel a bit stuffy due to the majority of people who book, nothing to do with the staff or the hotel (they're wonderful and will make you feel comfortable). Just prepare mentally to adjust. You will have a great stay regardless.

Very nice hotel, not kid friendly though. If you want to go on a weekend trip with your significant other then this place would be great. Pros: clean, comfortable beds, love the location because it's within walking distance to so many downtown areas, valet service was top notch, and the city view was amazing 😍 Cons: Not kid friendly. Unfortunately no pool, so if going with kids and they want to swim this is not the place for you. We did not like being woken up to barking dogs at 5am. This was by far the biggest con! This is a pet friendly hotel so there were a lot of dogs. Restaurant in building is not for young families. Looked amazing, so will have to go back on a date to try it out. No parking. You either have to use their valet service or pay to park in the city parking garage.

Pros - centrally located, immaculate and updated rooms and lobby, excellent pet policy, fast reliable wi-fi, fitness center, will return forgotten items, good restaurants and bar within hotel. Front desk not terribly friendly but helpful. Cons - parking sucks and is too expensive, no pool area, poor communication between front desk and housekeeping (knocked 2x before 9am and 2x times on checkout day, even though I informed FD 3x of late c/o).

Perfectly located, high end hotel. We had a fabulous stay at the Monaco for birthday. The check in process was flawless and easy and the hotel surprised me with apple cider, chocolate covered strawberries and a cute note for my birthday. It made me feel so special. The rooms are a great size and have beautiful bathrooms! If you are staying in downtown SLC I highly recommend the Monaco. It's location is perfect. Close to multiple restaurants, bars, etc all within walking distance. The Vault, which is the bar inside the hotel is awesome and has delicious drinks. And the lobby has a cute fireplace and games to play if the weather is not suitable outside.

Did a quick one night stop over at the Kimpton on our way down to ski the Cottonwood Canyons. We love Kimptons in general, and this property doesn't disappoint. It was fully remodeled a couple of months ago, and the renovation came out fantastic! The room was nice and comfortable, the lobby area was very inviting, and the service at the front desk was outstanding. This is definitely one of the nicer places to stay in downtown Salt Lake City.
