We were extremely disappointed that we wasted our money on this place! We planned this girls trip for months and thought we found the perfect place, au contraire! We stayed in October and they did not have the fireplaces turned on yet for the season, although I found out that they were closing shortly for the winter so, basically, they never have their fireplaces working! The rooms needed updating. The bed was uncomfortable as iwas the bedding, flat pillows, and terrible mattress. The breakfast was run by a couple of guys that looked too busy to make an effort. The strawberries had rotten spots on them, they ran out of cream, they ran out of syrup, and, although the menu said, it included potatoes, there were no potatoes - what gives?! We stayed there for five nights so as you can imagine, it really brought down the quality of our trip, though we tried to make the most of it. I was determined to tell people about our experience because I don’t want you to go and waste your money like we did , what made matters worse is that the woman at the front desk was snippy and rude. She must not have cared enough about the business to be kind to the guests and not to lie to their face about the fireplace. I did read some bad reviews before we booked, but I think next time we will listen to what people are saying! Like I said, there are a lot of other nice places to stay in town that are worth your money. Stay elsewhere and save the headache.

Buyer Beware - Alpine House falsifies the bed sizes they advertise, you will likely be forced to walk to another hotel to check in, and will be categorically ignored when attempting to rectify any issue. A few specific things: 1) I booked a Queen sized room for an evening. The room did not include a Queen bed - it included a full/double. 2) The hotel does not staff the front desk during standard hotel operating hours. We arrived at ~6 pm, finding a placard stating to call the front desk at another hotel owned by the same company in town. When several phone calls to that front desk went unanswered, we were forced to walk to the other hotel in order to check in. 3) Outside of those issues, the room was ok. Small, certainly... I'm not sure a Queen bed would have even fit in the room. But the room itself was ok. The shower not draining was the only real thing wrong with the room. 4) Noise from the common area woke us. If sound dampening is present in the rooms, it certainly doesn't work. 5) Multiple phone calls and e-mails directly to Andrea, the manager, have gone unanswered. If you have an issue, you will simply be ignored. Long story short - stay here at your own risk. If I were you... I wouldn't.

We live full-time about an hour outside of Jackson. We've spent a few evenings in Jackson over the years, but this was by far our most enjoyable. It was "shoulder season", so the crowds were down. The young lady that checked us in was delightful. The gentleman that prepared our breakfast was so kind and accommodating. The rooms simple but very comfortable. My wife is from Norway, so she enjoyed the decoration, knotty pine, etc. The even have a painting showing the story of the Birkebeiners skiing down the mountain saving the child-king of Norway. A definite recommend.

When we arrived to check in, the receptionist was texting and did not acknowledge us for a whole minute. No “I’ll be right with you” or urgency whatsoever. The king size room was clean and a good size. I was disappointed that the fireplace didn’t work and there were only 3 dim lights making it hard to see your belongings in the evening. The walls were thin and we heard people talking & heavy footsteps in neighboring rooms. The breakfast service was good but not superb. Orange juice tasted sour and overall not much care seemed to be put into the meal. The staff were not friendly, attentive or warm. It did not meet my expectations but it was okay for two nights. A few days before check in, we received an email offering “deals” on extras like early check in, fireplace, Juliet balcony etc. It was a bit off putting given that my room included two of the offerings and seemed like they were just trying to squeeze money out of the guests…

Firstly I'd like to give a HUGE RAVE to Andrea and The Alpine House for helping raise over $24,000 for a 2 year old little girl who is battling kidney cancer!! Without your help, this wouldn't have been possible! So please know that the people at The Alpine House are serious Earth Angels behind the scenes and more that worthy of giving your business to! 🙌🏽🧡🙏🏽 Secondly I'd like to add that my husband and I have stayed at many places in Jackson, but by far, The Alpine House is a favorite! Its got a great location for being close enough to the square but also on a quiet street which is great for sleeping and relaxing! The breakfast is top notch, not a standard hotel breakfast, they really take their time to provide something fresh and on par with Jackson Holes fine culinary scene. The bedrooms and lounging areas are so cute, welcoming, and comforting! Everything was clean and tidy but also unique in comparison to other places in Jackson. I highly recommend staying here!
