The concierge was very nice and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and well cleaned. That being said, the beds were quite firm and not the most comfortable (especially the Murphy bed). Otherwise, everything was amazing and we were really impressed by the staff.

This hotel offers five star service with an unbeatable backdrop. We started with a slight miscommunication about our dog- but it was quickly resolved as they take copious notes about the reservations- their diligence turned what could have been a disaster into a well accommodated situation. Our room was impeccably clean- and coming from a hotel and property management background, we always thoroughly inspect our rooms- this was beyond spectacular...from the mattress to to under-the-toilet test, the room was perfection. The pickiest of germaphobes would have been impressed. The beds are so comfortable- we slept better than we had in years. Also- their towels are incredible...so big and fluffy!!!!! Everything was well maintained, all the furniture was comfortable- from the couch to the chairs to the bed...all amazing. Their pool is well maintained and luxurious, as are the rest of the grounds on premise. It is also a country club, and you can clearly see the love and care that go into maintaining the expansive grounds. Additionally, they noted we were here for our anniversary and we entered our room to find champagne in the fridge, glasses, and a handwritten note- the devil is in the details, and they have it down!!! The kitchen is well stocked with what you need for basic cooking- I was very impressed and even cooked dinner (duck confit). We had brought a lot of fine cheeses and charcuterie, and I was even more impressed that there was a platter for it in the cabinet. Everything in the kitchen worked well, and was impeccably clean- like the rest of the suite. We brought our dog- and 80 lb German shepherd. The whole staff was so kind to her- she clearly felt comfortable and at home- in fact she was the most mellow we have ever seen her. Dog friendly may be an understatement; also good to note the whole town is pretty dog friendly....you might even say dog loving! Lastly, the Grille...it's GREAT! We went for drinks all 3 nights of our stay. They don't have a cocktail men u and when the bartender said hit me with anything, we threw the book at him, and he delivered. We ordered a wide variety of complicated cocktails and every one of them came out amazing! The food is high quality and we both would highly recommend the Elk Chili. All in all, this place is excellent. Stay here to experience kind and caring staff, clean rooms, and an excellent experience that could be described as above and beyond. 10 out of 10 would stay here again and have already recommended to friends who are coming in the future.

The private ponds here are amazing! A bit pricey to get access to fish but worth it if you realize there are fish in these ponds that could shatter state records. Fished these ponds from sunrise to midnight for the majority of my stay. Saw tiger trout over 3ft long. Once it got dark, that didn’t stop me. Fished in the silence of night using mouse flies and caught tons of fish.

Had an amazing dinner here. Food was great. Server was kinda new, but friendly. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it.
