Elk Country Inn
-
The Elk county inn is in the middle of the town and located very centrally. It has access to great restaurants in walking distance. We stayed in the cabins that are single story and have a bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom. The cottage is ok for 2 -3 people. The cottage has microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, ironing etc all available. The front staff is really nice and friendly. They helped us with the luggage storage when we went to Yellow stone for 2 days and returned.

We were sent over to this inn by one of their sister hotels after a horrible experience. The front desk were very accommodating and worked with us with what we needed. We stayed in a cabin and it was nice, but after a few days we noticed we were getting bit by something. We checked the bed for bed bugs to find nothing so we contacted the office to see what the next step would be. They advised us that they were sending someone to strip and clean the entire cabin. After leaving for about 8 hours we come back to nothing being touched. now i understand it was a Saturday and they had many rooms to clean before people checked in but i felt as if this was an urgent matter. We called up front to which we were told that the maid service was gone for the day and would not be back till tomorrow. We went up front and they ended up cleaning the room while we were at dinner. While we did not find bed bugs we do believe it was fleas that an animal possibly brought in to the carpet etc. Even though the room was cleaned we still did not feel as if they were completely gone. We ended up checking out early and going to a different place. Not to mention now i’m spending hundreds of dollars getting my clothes cleaned so i don’t bring anything into my home with my toddler…

We usually stay at the Antler but I stayed at the Elk country Inn this last trip to Jackson Hole and it is really a nice hotel. The breakfast is basic but varied and fine. Beds are very comfortable. The rooms are bit rustic but that’s Jackson Hole so it’s cool. The only complaint I had was the pool being too cold to really enjoy. I think if a place goes through all the trouble of having an indoor outdoor pool It should be at least upper 70s and not lower 70s to swim in. Even the kids had a hard time swimming in it. Meanwhile, the indoor hot tub was way too hot, like 104. The outdoor hot tub is really the only place I could hang out. The Staff are really great and it makes a big difference that they stay open for breakfast a little later than the posted time. We really appreciated the extra 15 minutes. The shuttle to Jackson Hole ski area is such a great convenience. I’m pretty sure I will stay at this hotel next time I go.

I loved the lobby of this hotel! It was so beautiful. The free breakfast was great every single day. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. This was the perfect place to stay because it was close to everything in the town of Jackson. The pool deck and hot tubs were amazing, too. It was so beautiful with all the stones and fireplaces.

Beautiful hotel. Architecture and decorating is mountain-cozy. The staff is lovely especially the woman who takes care of the breakfast. Continental breakfast is pretty good as far as those go. They serve cookies at 5 but they usually go pretty fast unless you’re there right at 5. Rooms were clean. Location is right by the park and walkable to many restaurants/bars/breweries.
