Grand Targhee Resort Bike Park

Grand Targhee Resort, Ski Hill Road, Alta, WY, USA

Voted #2 in the Top 5 Best Bike Parks in the Northwest region on MTBparks.com three years running! With spectacular singletrack trails winding through wildflower meadows and miles of technical lift serviced downhill trails, Grand Targhee Resort established itself as the first downhill mountain bike destination in the Tetons. But this is only part of the story. With incredible trails both on Teton Pass and at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort the region is slowly and quietly becoming a downhill mecca. During the summer months when the West is sweltering, Grand Targhee and the Tetons might be the most extraordinary, cool temperature riding in the lower 48!

Very affordable and kid-friendly resort. We are novice snowboarders from Texas. I hesitated the drive from Jackson Hole due to snowy road conditions but glad that we visited. The last mile leading to the resort was difficult to drive, however, all the cars were cautiously slow. One recommendation is improving customer service in ski/snowboard rental. Staff fitted our 5 y.o. child in size 3 kid, 4 sizes bigger than what we requested and gave him the board that was too long for his size. It was Easter Sunday so staff was probably distracted. Nonetheless, it was a great experience.

First time here on presidents Day 2024, used to skiing little cottonwood in Utah. First impression of the base was other worldly with the wood burning. This place was great, ski on, no lines all day, no parking issues, the kids all loved it, and there was challenging terrain for Dad and the older kids too! grooming was great and there were still powder shots at 2pm without knowing where to go. And on mountain Day care for the younger kids and they loved that too! Well be back next year!

Great view, steep skiing, and little to no lift lines. Definitely my new favorite ski resort. Far better than Jackson Hole ,especially for the price!

This place is wonderful. Huge skiing area for beginners that offers enough challenges to keep it interesting for the kids all day long but you can trust them to go off on their own and be fine. All the lift operators were friendly and helpful when needed. The beginner lift had a party vibe and it was easy to get to. We visited on weekdays in February 2024 and got there 30-60 minutes before they opened. It was easy to find parking and the line to buy tickets was short and painless.

Huge fan of this ski resort. We live in Idaho Falls. It is for sure the best resort near us. I was especially impressed with the variety of the “bunny hill” at Targhee. They gave great facilities for beginners. I have two daughters who started skiing this year. I surprised how much fun my 8 year old and I had doing the small hill for an entire afternoon. They also offer adaptive ski lessons which makes my so happy. My daughter with Down syndrome started this year. The staff is so patient with her and excited for her to have a chance to ski. My older boys and husband are advanced skiers/snow boarders. There is plenty to keep them entertained all day. I also love the patio area + fires. Such a fun environment! Targhee was a great place for our whole family.
